Big news! Chloe received the NoA for her NIA K22 Career Transition Award. This 3-year grant support will be instrumental in launching the research program in our lab. Chloe is deeply grateful for this support, as well as for the mentorship and collaboration that made this possible. Stay tuned for the exciting research this funding will make possible!

Chloe co-organized the 2026 7th Annual AKN Symposium at Stanford University. The event was successful and it was a great opportunity for her to network with fellow Korean/Korean-American neuroscientists in the US!

Chloe gave a talk at the Annual Symposium of the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center. It was her first time presenting the research program of the DCChung Lab as a faculty member at Rutgers, and she had a great time meeting fellow Alzheimer’s disease researchers at Rutgers and beyond. Chloe also had a fun opportunity to speak about her career journey and research to students at the Franklin High School Neuroscience Club during their Brain Awareness Week. It was great to see young students so interested in neuroscience!

Happy New Year! Chloe officially joined Rutgers as an Assistant Professor and launched the DCChung Lab. She is busy getting to know the campus and her home department, while learning to embrace New Jersey’s cold, snowy winter (though she has been told multiple times that this year is unusually brutal).

Chloe received an approval letter from the National Institute on Aging for her K22 Career Transition Award. She is deeply grateful for this support, which will help shape the direction of her independent research program investigating the link between the big tau isoform and Alzheimer’s disease. She is looking forward to activating the award as she launches her lab at Rutgers in 2026!

Chloe accepted an offer from Rutgers University to start her tenure-track Assistant Professor position at the Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience! She will launch her independent lab in January 2026.
